TREASURER'S HOUSE, Chapter House Street, York York YO1 7JH
York's 'hidden treasure', this elegant house stands within the tranquil
surroundings of the Minster Close. Medieval in origin (and with even earlier --
Roman -- links), the house was rescued from neglect by the wealthy local
industrialist Frank Green, who carefully restored it and made it his home. It is
as he left it, with many fine pieces of furniture and notable collections of
china, pottery and glass
